uncharacteristically wild in his fifth start of the year, allowing five runs
-- four earned -- on five hits, walked four and had two wild pitches in just
31/3 innings.

Kuo (2-2) allowed an unearned run in the first inning after Jonathan Wyatt
scored from second on an errant flip to first by Darin Holcomb to make it
1-0. But after retiring the side in order in the second, his control began to
falter in the third inning.
"I was feeling out of shape today," said Kuo through an interpreter after his
most disappointing start of the year. "The first two innings everything was
fine. But the third and fourth something was out of place."
