Brian McCann (oblique) headed to DL
ATLANTA -- Braves catcher Brian McCann strained his left oblique, forcing him
out of Tuesday night's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates, and he will be
placed on the 15-day disabled list on Wednesday.
McCann grabbed his left side and lower back in obvious pain after he threw
high as Neil Walker stole second base in the 10th inning of Atlanta's
19-inning 4-3 victory.
David Ross replaced McCann in the game after trainer Jeff Porter came on the
field to confer with McCann. McCann made a couple of test throws to pitcher
Scott Linebrink before leaving the game.
Manager Fredi Gonzalez said he hopes McCann's injury is "not a bad oblique,
and we get him back in 15 to 20 days."
"That's a big bat in the lineup," Gonzalez said.
The Braves have not announced a replacement for McCann on the roster.

原因在 10 局上為了要抓準備盜上二壘的 Neil Walker 而不慎拉傷左斜肌
之後由 David Ross 替代 而 McCann 經過檢查後確定要把他放進 15 天 DL 之中 ....
