The suspension was reduced by a game by appeal. : In that series, Johnson was the manager of the Dodgers' opponent, the New : York Mets. Maddon覺得這樣禁賽八場的判決太超過了。「當然是太超過了，而且也不公平。不過這就是他們的處理方式，至於細節要怎麼操作完全看他們的意思了。」Maddon表示。 DJ謝絕對這項判決作出評論。 Peralta則是希望禁賽的場次不要這麼多。「我第一次遇到這種事，也不知該如何思考，也不知道結果會如何。在知道初步的結果後，我心裡其實感到輕鬆一些。」星期二賽後，Maddon指責DJ的行為是懦弱的，白費力氣而且沒什麼料(?)，而DJ則回敬 Maddon，叫他好好翻翻棒球規則，並且說他是個無用的怪咖!
