Red Sox fired pitching coach Bob McClure.
McClure, who was in his first year as pitching coach, takes the fall for a
pitching staff which ranks 23rd in the majors with a 4.30 ERA, including a
4.82 ERA for their starters. Randy Niemann, the assistant pitching coach,
will serve as interim pitching coach for the rest of the season
