Source: The Astros are targeting Victor Rodriguez to join the Major League
staff as hitting coach.
Rodriguez served as last two seasons as the Padres hitting coach and was also
assistant hitting coach for the Red Sox (2013–2017) and Guardians (2018–
2023).
