It’s what you dream of when you’re a little lad and to make my debut in front of 88,000 people at Wembley is something I’ll never forget.” With the Johnson family and friends watching from the stands, Adam admitted he perhaps could have won a penalty to mark his debut, but was perhaps too honest. “Yeah, I probably should have gone down!” he laughed. “I just wanted to go on and score myself, but hopefully there will be other chances for England in the years to come” “Middlesbrough were great for me and for my development, but coming to City has been fantastic.
