They go into Saturday's game against United after making a fine impression of Sir Alex Ferguson's side with a stoppage-time winner over Blackpool in the Carling Cup. - But Stoke have themselves been on the wrong end of late drama this season with Bolton and Chelsea both thwarting the Potters with last-gasp strikes - a cause for concern ahead of the visit of a side who are masters of the late goal. - Michael Owen's dramatic 96th-minute derby winner and a 1-0 Carling Cup win over Wolves on Wednesday mean United head to the Britannia Stadium in search of a seventh successive victory. - The champions won home and away against Stoke last season without conceding a goal but had to work hard for their 1-0 victory at the Britannia - Ferguson will surely settle for a repeat as the Red Devils continue their pursuit of a unprecedented 19th league title. Lawro's predictions Stoke 1-1 United Stoke manager Tony Pulis was at Manchester United versus Manchester City last weekend and he also presided over Stoke's 4-3 win against Blackpool on Tuesday, so he has seen 14 goals in the last two games he's been at - I can't see another 4-3 on Saturday though. The thing with Manchester United is that they keep getting over the line and winning no matter how well they play and that's not a surprise because that's what good teams do - they wear out the opposition over the course of 90-plus minutes, as we've seen. But I'm going to go for a draw here because I think Stoke will make it very difficult for United to get the ball down and play. They did that at the Britannia Stadium last year and, until they had a man sent off late on, they looked good value for a draw. http://tinyurl.com/ydbtg7j http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/eng_prem/8269329.stm http://www.skysports.com/football/match_preview/0,19764,11065_3149605,00.html http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/8272468.stm -- ★ ╔╦═╮╔╮ ╭╔╮ ╭╔╦═╮ ╔╮╔╮╭╦═╮╔╮═╮ ☆ ☆ ╠╬╦╯╠╣ ║╠╣ ║╠╣ ║ ╠╣╠╣╠╬═╣╠╣ ║ ★ ★ ╰╝╰╯╰╝═╯╰╝═╯╚╯═╯ ╰╰╯╯╰╝ ╰╰╝ ╰ ☆ SCORING MACHINE︰ Ruud van Nistelrooy ★ ╔╮═╮╭╦╦╮╭╦═╮╭╦╦╮╔╦═╮╔╮ ╔╦═╮╭╦═╭═╦╮╮ ╔╮ ╠╣ ║ ╠╣ ╚╩╦╮ ╠╣ ╠╬╣ ╠╣ ╠╬╦╯╠╣ ║ ╠╣╚═╬╣ ╰╝ ╰╰╩╩╯╰═╩╝ ╚╝ ╚╩═╯╰╩═╯╰╝╰╯╰╩═╯═╩╯╰═╩╝ -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 114.38.54.120
