Marc Newfield, the Mariners' first-round draft pick in 1990, has gone on
to become a big home-run producer in Taiwan, leading the league there with 41.
Another former Mariner is continuing to play in a more humble fashion. David
Segui, a native of Kansas City, recently signed to play first base for the
independent Kansas City T-Bones.
