Hitting coach John Mallee is scheduled for surgery on Wednesday morning to repair his left biceps tendon. Mallee sustained a fluke injury during batting practice on Monday afternoon, before the Marlins played a rainout makeup game against the Cardinals at Sun Life Stadium. 身穿馬大魚球衣的沒一個逃的了傷病魔咒! 打擊教練John Mallee預計在星期三動手術修補左二頭肌腱。而他是在禮拜一在主場對紅雀隊的補賽前，在打擊練習時意外受傷的。 Mallee was hurt while attempting to lift the portable pitching ramp that is used during batting practice. He said he has a complete tear of the biceps tendon off his bone. The Marlins opened a two-game series with the Mets on Tuesday, and on Thursday, they open a four-game series with the Brewers in Milwaukee. Mallee said he hopes to join the team in Atlanta on Sept. 27. Marlins special assistant and Hall of Famer Tony Perez will be traveling with the team to Milwaukee and Atlanta, and he will offer input with the hitters when needed. Bench coach Brandon Hyde and manager Edwin Rodriguez also will help fill some of Mallee's duties. "Brandon Hyde and Edwin Rodriguez were hitting coaches with me in the Minor Leagues," Mallee said. "I was the hitting coordinator and they were all with me. They know my program."
