美國時間6月6日（週一）舉辦的大聯盟選秀會第一輪，馬林魚以第14順位選上佛羅里達州
Braulio Alonso High School的18歲投手Jose Fernandez（跟一位旅日洋將同名）。
Fernandez是古巴裔，在Santa Clara長大，2008年4月隨家人叛逃到美國。身高6呎3吋（
191公分），體重215磅（98公斤），Fernandez是典型的強力投手，快速球最快可達
97-98mph，均速約為93-95mph。他的主要變化球種是形似曲球、但有滑球球速（約
78-84mph）的變化球，此外還有持續進化中的變速球。
Fernandez是馬林魚繼2005年的Chris Volstad之後，再一次以第一輪選秀權選進佛州當地
的高中投手，也是馬林魚繼2009年的Chad James之後，再次於第一輪選進投手，雖然他和
南佛羅里達大學已簽訂入學意向書，但一般認為以第一輪的順位與價位，大有機會吸引他
加盟。
Fernandez高中的投球成績非常精彩，高三是13勝1敗，ERA 1.35，134次奪三振。高中三
年合計30勝3敗，314次奪三振。以他的球速與體型，也許將來會朝終結者發展。
至於馬林魚選擇Jose Fernandez的另一個考量，或許跟他的成長背景有關吧！Fernandez
的父親先一步到美國，但Jose跟他的媽媽、姊姊卻歷經4次叛逃才成功。有一次是他媽媽
從船上落水，Jose跳水救母；還有一次，他們的船只距離佛羅里達海岸約10英哩，但還是
被海岸防衛隊攔截後遭潛返。所以Jose 14歲時就在古巴坐過牢了。希望他在職棒生涯也
能展現同等的韌性啊
順帶一提，根據最新消息，馬林魚有意以交易獲得資深有經驗的中繼投手來補強牛棚，目
前的幾個交易籌碼可能是Jose Ceda、Jhan Marinez、Sandy Rosario。若從張尤金的觀點
，新近被拉上大聯盟的Steve Cishek，我蠻喜歡他的投球內容，至於去年交易來的Ryan
Webb或Edward Mujica，我反而認為是可以交易的籌碼。
當然，重點是馬林魚必須到球季中（7月）還能維持競爭力，否則屆時球團轉買為賣，把
Leo Nunez賣掉，可能也不會讓人意外吧！

簡潔的防守動作，各項結合可使他一躍進入到第一輪。Barron去年成長迅速，現在身高
