Wright has been recovering from a fracture in his left shoulder suffered during training camp. “We’ve got some positive reports on Wright so we can step up his activity,” Carlisle said. “But we don’t have a timetable. He’s got a ways to go with rehab and strengthening.” Harris, meanwhile, had foot surgery in August, and it’s expected that his return will come sometime during December. The 6-3 guard said that things “have gotten fast” lately and he’s been cleared to do running drills. “Devin, he hasn’t participated in live practices, but he’s gone through five-on-oh stuff,” Carlisle said. “He’s doing some running. He’s picked up his running to where it appears to be sprinting. His progress is really good.” Asked if Harris was on track to return before Wright, Carlisle said: “I don’ t know that. I have no idea. Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle thought it should have been a flagrant foul. He stepped onto the floor and lit into referee Tony Brothers. “I thought the foul was excessive,” Carlisle said. “I thought he fouled him and then he came down on him extra hard and I’m going to stand up for my players.” Ellis said it was a hard foul, but that he would have to see the videotape to determine whether it was excessive.
