Celtics Active On Josh Smith Trade Talks
The Boston Celtics are active on several trade fronts including talks with
the Atlanta Hawks on Josh Smith.
The Hawks are very motivated sellers in regards to Smith, who is an
unrestricted free agent. The Hawks are unlikely to re-sign Smith this
offseason.
Marc Stein reports that the Celtics would almost certainly need to send Paul
Pierce to the Hawks for Smith.

Bulls Interested In Trading Hamilton With Eye On Luxury Tax
The Chicago Bulls are open to trading away Richard Hamilton, according to
sources.
The Bulls reportedly are again very conscious of the luxury tax and want to
avoid burning a year toward the repeater-tax penalties.
The Bulls have never paid the luxury tax.
