Celtics Interested In Signing D.J. White To 10-Day Deal
The Boston Celtics are interested in signing D.J. White to a 10-day contract.
White has been playing this season in China.
White averaged 21.6 points on 55.9 percent shooting with 9.7 rebounds over 32
games for Shanghai Dongfang.

DeJuan Blair's Agent Disappointed With No Trade
DeJuan Blair has been on the San Antonio Spurs' trading block for the past
year, and he and his agent expected the forward to be traded by Thursday's
deadline.
Ultimately, the Spurs could not find a suitable deal for Blair and kept him
-- which was disappointing for Blair's camp.
"Obviously I am disappointed that we were not able to get a trade done but I
trust Pop and RC and I know they tried their best and have DeJuan and the
Spurs best interests at heart," agent Happy Walters said. "When Pop needs
Dejuan, he'll be ready to contribute as he always has been."

Villanueva Will Pick Up Player Option With Pistons
Charlie Villanueva has decided to pick up his $8.5-million player option for
the 2013-14 season.
Villanueva signed a five-year, $35-million deal with the Pistons in the

Kirilenko Retires From Russian National Team
Andrei Kirilenko is retiring from the Russian national team for family
reasons.
“I was thinking in summertime I don’t have enough time with my kids,” he
said. “My wife and kids, I want to be around them. I don’t want to be dad
who’s spending two hours and then you don’t see your kids. It’s a hard
decision.

Celtics Had High Asking Price For Pierce With Nets
The Boston Celtics reportedly called the Brooklyn Nets in regards to Paul
Pierce trade with a high asking price.
The Celtics sought MarShon Brooks, Mirza Teletovic, Kris Humphries and two
future first round picks for Pierce.
The Nets also worked on a deal for Josh Smith.
