The N.B.A. trading deadline is next Thursday, but the team's president, Isiah Thomas, said he was only listening to offers, not actively seeking to make a deal. Thomas said he would rather let the Knicks finish out the season as they are currently constituted and re-evaluate the roster this summer. The Knicks have $43 million in contracts that will expire in 2006, and they could become trading chips after this season.
