Jameer Nelson's MRI reveals torn labrum
An MRI on Jameer Nelson's dislocated shoulder revealed a torn right labrum.
The team will decide over the next week whether he will have season-ending
surgery or attempt rehabilitation.
At the very least, Nelson is out for a few weeks. The Magic will have to rely
on veteran point guard Anthony Johnson for the time being, though it's likely
that they'll soon sign a backup. Another option is using Hedo Turkoglu as a
point-forward. This news rules Nelson out for the All-Star game --
commissioner David Stern gets to select his replacement, and the favorites
include Mo Williams, Ray Allen and David Lee.
