[NFL!] Chargers sign Philip Rivers to 4-year
Philip Rivers ain't going anywhere.
After speculation earlier this offseason that the quarterback might be traded,
or that he wouldn't be interested in moving to Los Angeles should it come to
that, the Chargers announced Saturday that they have signed Rivers to a four
-year extension through 2019.
It's hardly a surprising development because Rivers is one of the league's best
quarterbacks, even if, unlike his 2004 draft-classmates Eli Manning and Ben
Roethlisberger, he doesn't have any Super Bowl rings.
