CF Carlos Beltran played one game of a doubleheader for Class A St. Lucie
Friday, serving as a designated hitter and going 2-for-3 at the plate. Mets
manager Jerry Manuel said that Beltran will play back-to-back games in
centerfield likely this weekend and could return to the Mets as soon as
Monday depending on how he responds.
