He’s got a year left on his deal with the Orioles but Andy MacPhail’s appearance in Baltimore front office and the disappearance of Mazzone’s buddy Sam Perlozzo as coach may have shifted the earth there enough to let Mazzone hope on the Acela and visit NYC. And Philadelphia may look to fill the spot with Colorado’s Garrett Atkins or Joe Crede of the White Sox in a trade. One thing is clear: The team won’t be going after A-Rod.
