Andy Pettitte knows he can still be a winning pitcher, but the lefthander said
his heart just isn't in it anymore.
Yet even if that's true right now, Pettitte himself couldn't say it would be
the case weeks or months from now, declaring that he wouldn't be afraid to make
a comeback next season if he finds that "my stomach is churning" when the
season starts.
That alone is enough to make you wonder. And though Pettitte was firm in saying
that he won't pitch this season, I get the feeling that if the Yankees are six
games behind the Red Sox come June and his ex-teammates are texting him with a
collective SOS, he won't be able to say no.
本人是說假使哪天他手癢了也許會回來,但至少不會是本季,而作者提到也許當6月時差了紅
襪6埸以上勝差,全隊傳SOS簡訊給他時他那句NO會說不出口............
另外New York Daily News的原文還提到他之所以不去春訓是因為他怕看到隊友以後那句
退休會講不出來..
