The Doug Fister trade in the winter. Matt Williams’s hiring. His first season. All the injuries, from Wilson Ramos to Ryan Zimmerman (twice) to Bryce Harper to Gio Gonzalez. Early defensive miscues and later improvement. Harper’s benching. The dominant starting pitching. The bad losses to the Braves.
