Late last week, the Expos released first baseman Glen Davis from Double-A
Harrisburg. At the time of his release, Davis, 27, was hitting .210 with eight
home runs and 42 RBIs in 101 games. He started his professional career in
the Dodgers organization and has yet to play in the big leagues. After
releasing Davis , the Senators activated pitcher Gustavo Mata from the disabled
list. He is 5-8 with a 4.86 ERA
