Phillip Cocu has entered the Top 3 of most capped Dutch
internationals. The PSV midfielder made his 87th
appearance for the Dutch team against Andorra on
Wednesday night and he has now left Marc Overmars behind
him in the table.
At the age of 25, Cocu made his debut in a friendly
against Germany, when Holland slipped to a 1-0 defeat on
the night of 24 April 1996.
Cocu gave added lustre to reaching the third place in the
all-time ranking by netting his eighth goal for the Dutch
team in the Andorra tie last night.
