PSV隊長馬克范博謀昨天獲得了荷甲本年度的足球先生榮譽。范博謀是第一
次獲得這個由荷蘭專業早報”電訊報”和知名荷蘭足球雜誌”國際足球”
所發起的獎項的殊榮。Dirk Kuyt和丹尼蘭札特在他身後居次和三。
“我總是宣稱--『在我離開荷甲之前我想要拿到這隻金靴!』”范博謀對電
訊報引述了自己的話。PSV隊長前幾年已經得到過了銀靴、銅靴。

Van Bommel named footballer of the year.

PSV player Mark van Bommel was named footballer of the year in
Kaatsheuvel yesterday. Van Bommel was first in the prestigious
ranking, organized by Telesport, the sports section of the
Dutch morning paper, and Voetbal International, a Dutch football
magazine. Dirk Kuyt and Danny Landzaad were runners-up.
"I have always claimed: I would love to earn that golden shoe
before I leave", Van Bommel was quoted in de De Telegraaf.
The PSV captain won the silver shoe and the bronze shoe on
previous occasions. Dick Schneider, one of the former football
players that have awarded the points this season said: "This is
a genuine reward for the fine performances he put in this
campaign. Van Bommel truly made his mark for PSV."
Four PSV players preceded Mark van Bommel, since the introduction
of the trophy in the 1981-1982 season. Ruud Gullit was first in
1986 and Gerald Vanenburg, Jaap Stam and Johann Vogell also won
golden shoes awards. Vanenburg won the trophy even two times.
One more PSV players found his name in this season’s top ten
ranking. Young-Pyo Lee’s achievements did not go unnoticed:
he is seventh in the ranking.
