[荷甲]Twente Enschede open with a win
AMSTERDAM, Aug 16 (Reuters)
Twente Enschede kicked off their Dutch first division campaign in
confident style on Saturday with a 3-1 victory over RBC Roosendaal.
Twente trailed at halftime after Brazilian Tininho struck in the
24th minute, but they were back on level terms seven minutes after
the break when Sjaak Polak equalised.
New signings Kim Christensen and Blaise N'Kufo both scored in the
final 15 minutes to seal victory for the 2002 Cup winners.
Willem II Tilburg also started the season with a win as Joris Mathijssen
scored the only goal against AZ Alkmaar.
Iwan Redan's goal midway through the second half handed RKC Waalwijk
victory against promoted ADO Den Haag.
Champions PSV Eindhoven were held 2-2 on Friday by Roda JC Kerkrade
who ended with nine men. Last season's Dutch top scorer Mateja Kezman
scored twice for PSV.
