Advocaat warns Dutch stars
From:BBC
Holland coach Dick Advocaat has said four London-based Dutch players
should seek transfers if they want to play in Euro 2004.
Advocaat is worried that players at Chelsea and Arsenal are not getting
enough first-team football to make an impact at international level.
Referrring to Chelsea trio Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Mario Melchiot and
Boudewijn Zenden, and Arsenal's Giovanni van Bronckhorst, Advocaat warned
that competition for places in the Dutch team would be fierce.
"I am worried about my players in the Premiership, especially at Chelsea,"
Advocaat was quoted as saying in the News of the World on Sunday.
"I have only one message for Hasselbaink, Melchiot, Zenden and Van Bronckhorst.
"Go to another club as soon as you can if you wan to go with Holland to the
European championship in Portugal, because I will only select players who are
playing every week at the highest level."
Hasselbaink and Melchiot have seen only limited action and Zenden none at all
in Chelsea's first two league games.
Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich has spent around £80m on an array of
top-class players since buying Chelsea less than two months ago.
Van Bronckhorst is not a regular starter at Chelsea's north London rivals
Arsenal.

離開我你說是為了我好 可知道這句話傷人不少
就算忘不了 沒有大不了 反正一切都不再重要
我的心既然你全都不了 何必再繼續讓彼此困擾
斬斷糾纏的愛 從今就一了百了
