昨天Setanta就有報出來說有一家英超球隊出價，但不是Everton。
普遍猜測會是我們，因為我們急切的需要一位攻擊中場。

Writing in Wednesday's Mirror, the usually-reliable Alan Nixon asserted
that Newcastle had beaten off a number of other clubs to secure the transfer
of Pablo Aimar from Spanish side Real Zaragoza.
The 28 year-old attacking midfielder previously appeared for River Plate
in his native Argentina, before moving to Valencia in 2001 - where he
obtained Spanish citizenship.
Earlier in the week it looked as if Aimar would join Benfica, but his
agent was then quoted in the Portuguese press as saying that an English club
had entered the bidding.
Portsmouth and Everton had previously been credited with interest in the
player, but the latter look to have blown their transfer fund on Peter
Crouch, while that busy agent confirmed that the Toffees hadn't made a
move.
The Mirror suggest that personal terms will be discussed today between
the player's agent and United, before Aimar arrives for a medical - however,
like the rest of the story, this remains unconfirmed at this stage.
