[訪談] 卡八爺的紐卡二體驗

雖然就目前為止，取代前隊長、並承襲他背號和位置的卡八爺表現非常不錯，
讓紐卡人幾乎快忘了凱文諾蘭，但他一心一意只把重心放在足球場上，並未如此比較。
以下是夕陽鏡報（Evening Chronicle）和他的訪談：
"I have not experienced anything quite like this, The style of the game
and the speed is different too - it is all different to France.
「這是全新的體驗－－無論是速度和踢法而言，都和法國完全不一樣。」
"The atmosphere was unbelievable along with the noise from our fans.
Since I have been here, this is just normal behaviour -
they're simply fantastic."
「鄰居家的球場 + 客場紐卡球迷的歡呼 = 難以置信的美好氣氛。
而這一切從我加入紐卡之後，都像是必然會發生的事情一樣。實在是太棒了。」
"We went to Sunderland to win the game, There were lots of good performances
from our players, and it is always good to win the derby game because of
what it means to the supporters.
「我們是去隔壁贏球的。隊友們都踢出了不少好球，
而且我們知道贏球對球迷而言的意義－－所以能贏下德比大戰再好不過。」
"I wanted to touch the ball more times and hope to in the next few games,
but as I say, the main thing is we won and that the changing room was a
happy place to be."
「我還是希望能多觸球，並在下幾場比賽裡把球狠狠地幹進球網。
不過呢，就像我之前有說過的，主要目標還是能贏球，贏了球更衣室就會變天堂。」
對於能讓紐卡球迷開心，法國人還是感到很驕傲。他說：
"Now the fans can carry this result at Sunderland through the season.
They can fly the flag in the region because they are as you say top dogs."
「所以，球迷們現在可以把這場的勝利吟唱它個一整季了。
他們可以在東北開始揮舞旗幟，因為他們就是高於喪德蘭人一等！」
"It's our title until the next game we play against them in March next year."
「這是屬於我們的桂冠，我們將會戴著他，直到明年三月的衛冕戰之前。」
