他也許很期待這場先發，不過從沒預料到會第一次就踢滿120分鐘！－－
這名備受 Beardlsey 誇讚的中場小將 Mehdi Abeid（19），
靠著對戰森林時的屢屢妙傳、精準鏟球和跑不死的表現，吸引許多目光。以下是專訪：
"I'm really happy to have played today, It was a really, really good game.
I was very happy to be in the squad and even more so to play.
「今天能上場，我感到非常、非常開心。這是一場非常、非常、非常好的比賽。」
「能夠被選進名單中就已經讓我非常開心，還能上場表現自己就更開心了。」
"It was a unique moment. I was really in a dream and I enjoyed the game.
「這是一個永生難忘的時刻，就像在夢境裡，我非常地享受它。」
"Before the game I was a little bit nervous because it was my first game
with any first-team and my first game for Newcastle.
「賽前我還有點緊張－－畢竟這是我第一次和一線隊球員們一起比賽，
也是我的紐卡處女秀。」
"But it was a good game, It was difficult because I was injured
and I only came back to training on Saturday,
so it was difficult in the last moments of the match.
「但我覺得我的表現還算不錯。我因傷直到上週六才歸隊訓練，所以有點艱難。」
「這也讓我踢到後來（指延長加時賽）感覺十分力不從心。」
"I have some cramp but I feel okay.
I will recover and drink lots of water so I feel better for the weekend.
「我有些微抽筋，不過還罩得住。我先康復，然後拼命喝水，這個週末就會比較舒服！」
"I thought I did well and I can be even better in the future I hope."
「我覺得我（處女秀的）表現還不賴啦，而我當然也希望將來能夠越踢越好。」
關於和紐卡一起征戰客場的球迷們..
"I just want to say I enjoyed playing today and I hope they like my game.
I know I can be better in the weeks to come
and I hope I can be a very good signing for the fans this season.
「我只想說：我很享受比賽，希望他們也很享受我踢出來的表現。」
「隨著每週磨練，我一定會更加進步。所以，希望球迷也覺得我是一名還不賴的引援。」
"The fans are really special. I like the Newcastle fans.
To have more than 2,000 here was really good and they shout so loud!"
「紐卡的球迷非常特別，我很喜歡他們。」
「能有將近兩千名球迷與你一同征戰客場，真的很棒。他們的加油聲實在是太洪亮了！」
