http://tinyurl.com/3z2yohm（鏡報） -- 無論是先發或是坐板凳、無論是在門前還是在訓練場，十年如一日的紐卡象徵，老門將 Steve Harper（37）還是那位流著黑白血、在這金錢時代早已絕種的忠誠動物。這18年來，他看遍了新舊球員的來來去去。即使只能踢預備隊，依然全力以赴完成任務。以下是他最新的專訪－－當被問到「是不是什麼角色都願意當時」，他說： "Of course. 「那當然。」 "The club made the decision to start with Tim at the start of the season and he has been outstanding. You can't take that away from him. 「球隊在開季時決定讓 Krul 先發，而他做得好極了。你不能就這樣奪走他的位置。」 "Some games he has been quiet but against Fulham, the cup game against Scunny, and Wolves he was outstanding. 「有幾場他的表現一般，但對上濃妝、盃賽戰小鐵鎚和上週大戰狼隊，他就很棒。」 "He has played a big part in the start to the season and I will continue to help him. 「他為我們的開季挹注了很大的心力，而我也會繼續在背後協助他。」（Q_Q） "I know he's said that. But I will help him as much as I can. 「我知道他曾經說過（按：Krul之前說過要佔住位子不下來）那些話。不過我還是會盡我所能地去幫助他。」 "He is a big player for the future and if I can help get the best out of him then it will only benefit the club." 「他是一名未來之星。如果我能協助他發揮他的潛力，那就會對球隊帶來貢獻。」O___Q 上週怕肚說，連盃賽都要拿來練 Elliot。而機會更少的 Harper，再次表達對紐卡的愛： "Of course it is. This is my 19th season as a pro. 「當然啦，這可是我身為職業族球員的第十九個年頭。」 "At the start of the season it was obvious the way it was, I had a few chats with the manager and he told me he wanted to bring somebody in with Fraser Forster being on loan, and that may become permanent, who knows? 「在開季－－當然這對我而言已不再新鮮了－－時，我和主帥聊了一會兒，他告訴我要把 Forster 租出，另外租來一位門將－－可能還會永久轉會，誰知呢？」 "It was important to get somebody in. He's got Rob in now and when you are a young lad it is important to get involved as soon as possible. 「引進球員是很關鍵的。主帥現在得到了 Rob（Elliot），而對於一名新來的年輕球員來說，能融入球隊中、越快越好，是非常重要的。」 "I have no problem with the rota system. 「我對目前輪換的系統完全沒有異議。」 "Everybody knows I have a million T-shirts for sitting on the bench. 「全世界都知道我有數不清的板凳經驗。」O_Q "It's good for Rob and it's good for the club to get him involved and immersed. It's a big jump from League One to this level. 「轉會對 Rob 而言是好的、能快點融入並成為球隊的一份子更是。」「畢竟，從甲級發電廠到英超，是一個很大的生涯爬升。」 "The manager has been first class. I read somewhere we have had a fall-out. We haven't had a fall-out.
