Tomasson retires from international football

Jon Dahl Tomasson has announced his retirement from international football
with Denmark.
Tomasson won his 112th and final cap in the group-stage defeat to Japan at the
World Cup. He scored a late penalty in that 3-1 loss to become his country's
joint record goalscorer with 52.
"The national team has always had the biggest impact on me in my career.
It has been a great honour for me to represent my country,''
said Tomasson on the Danish Football Federation's official website.

在我的職業生涯裡, 參與國家代表隊對我而言有著最大最深遠的影響,
我很榮幸能夠代表我的國家參賽
"The national team has been a big part of my career for the last 13 years and
it is an important chapter in my life that I am now ending.

而我即將要結束這在我生命中很重要的一段歷程
"This was a decision that I had to give myself time to take.''
他也是考慮了一段時間才做出的艱難決定
2010世足賽前 就有記者詢問他有關退休的打算
當時他的說法是: 我身體狀況還可以 沒有什麼問題的話 我打算一直踢下去
直到不行為止
但是從世足賽的表現看來, 他是差不多不行了 >"<
那時我就在擔心他是不是會退出國家代表隊
世足剛結束, 只有說其他幾位確定退休(忘了是誰)
而Tomasson則是前天才確定 傷心~~~
Tomasson, who is in his second spell with Feyenoord, has also played for
Heerenveen, Newcastle, AC Milan, Stuttgart and Villarreal.
