Karl Admits That Nuggets Wanted Hornets

George Karl admitted on Sunday that Denver was hoping to play the Hornets and not the top-seeded Lakers in the first round, according to the Rocky Mountain News.
"I'm not going to deny we were rooting to play New Orleans," he said. "We wanted to play the more inexperienced team."
Los Angeles easily won Game One on Sunday afternoon.
Karl added that he was hoping they would trade Kobe last summer.
