[消息] Orioles trade outfielder Jeff Conine
The Orioles today announced that they havetraded OF-1B JEFF CONINE to
Philadelphia,along with cash considerations, for a player to be named later.
Conine was batting .264 with 9 homers and 47 RBIs in 113 games entering
today's game. He started 53 games in left field and 47 at first base,
in addition to 2 games as designated hitter. He has also made appearances
in right field and at third base. Conine recorded his 200th career home run
on April 16 and his 1,000th career RBI on July 18.
In January, Conine signed a one-year contract with a vesting option for
the 2007 season, returning to the Orioles as a free agent for his second
tenure with the team. He was also with the Orioles from 1999 to 2003,
and has had two tenures each with Florida and Kansas City in 16 major
league seasons. He was part of both of Florida's World Championship teams.
