[外電] Orioles sign RHP Hennessey, IF Murphy
BALTIMORE (TICKER) —The Baltimore Orioles signed righthander Brad Hennessey
and infielder Donnie Murphy to minor league contracts for the 2009 season on
Monday.
Terms of the contracts were not disclosed.
Hennessey went 1-2 with a 7.38 ERA in 17 games with the San Francisco Giants
last season. The 28-year-old had a record of 17-23 and a 4.69 ERA in 148
appearances during five seasons with the Giants.
Murphy, 25, appeared in 46 games with the Oakland Athletics last season,
batting .184 with three home runs and 13 RBI.
Both players have been invited to the Orioles' major league spring training
camp as non-roster invitees.
