cers series), he declared,"There's no way in hell we're trading Jermaine
O'Neal." And team president Larry Bird reiterated that point in his postmortem
last week: O'Neal still is their franchise player, and nothing short of PF
Kevin Garnett would make it logical to move him.
Bird also mentioned that SG Stephen Jackson had better grow up (stop whining
and stop blaming refs and teammates) or he's outta there. "Some of the things
Stephen was doing out on the court frustrated me. I was embarrassed at times,
" Bird said. . . .
