RIDAY, MAY 18, 2007 Season In Review: Shawne Williams http://www.nba.com/pacers/news/0607_review_williams.html 賽季回顧：小威 Editor's Note: This is the last in a series of articles analyzing the performance of the Pacers' players during the 2006-07 season as well as their prospects for 2007-08. 2006-07 REVIEW: Drafted after just one college season, Shawne Williams was viewed as something of a long-term project when he joined the Pacers. Not only was he battling youth and inexperience but a roster that offered little in the way of opportunity at his primary position of small forward. There was even talk of sending him to the D-League for playing time. But Williams remained with the Pacers, watched and learned. On the inactive list for the first 22 games, he scored 13 points in his Dec. 11 debut at Chicago - the second-most points ever scored by a Pacers rookie in his first NBA game - but remained only on the fringe of the rotation. But the Golden State trade and the injury to Marquis Daniels created opportunity and Williams took full advantage. He has a quick, easy stroke and should develop into a legitimate 3-point threat. He also showed the ability to drive and finish strong. Already the possessor of a solid NBA frame, Williams also has above-average athleticism that should become more apparent has he develops strength, experience and confidence.
