MLB invites Bochy Bochy yesterday was invited to manage the U.S. All-Star team
in its upcoming tour of Japan. "If I can get it all worked out, I'd love to go"
Bochy said. Red Sox manager Terry Francona had to withdraw because of a foot
infection. Two years ago, Bochy managed the U.S. team in Japan. "It's a great
job. You get to see their best players, their culture, "he said. "There's a lot
of pride involved on both sides. It's competitive."
