WHEN IT RAINS, WELL . . . : With the Pistons up 28-18 in the first quarter, and the shot clock winding down, Pistons center Ben Wallace had the ball on the extended elbow. Wallace lifted the ball over his head with both hands and heaved it toward the basket -- the absence of any shooting touch visibly blatant -- and the ball hit nearly a foot above the window on the backboard.
