自棒子爺後球團的第一個三明治不過球探報告有點霧薩薩.. 一般評價大約是 TOP 40~50，海盜用45順位選到他應該有中上的速度，看影片應該是很投入比賽的球員 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NG-Lc2GbaUM

不過沒看到關於防守範圍的評價，只知道臂力普普未來可能會從中外野往兩邊移，而他的砲瓦足夠讓他當角落外野手揮棒速度很快，狂拉型打者不過揮棒時前腳和地面垂直所以沒用到下盤的力 (但還是有砲瓦@@?) 打擊率可能不太好，如果無法控制三振的話，不過能夠選球撿保送這是 John Sickles在三月問一位球探，誰是讓他最驚訝的打者 The most impressive hitter I have seen this year is probably Barrett Barnes of Texas Tech from an overall standpoint. I'd pay to watch him take batting practice. He didn't perform to well in the series that I saw him though, missed at least 4-5 pitches that were big mistake pitches. However the two hits he had in the three-game series were absolutely smoked. He is the best overall hitter from this year I have seen when you combine the power and hit tools.
