Billups get technical
Official Ed Malloy whistled Billups for his seventh technical foul
of the season in the third quarter. Billups said Malloy told him he
received the technical foul for cursing.
"I wasn't even talking to him," said Billups, who still trails teammates
Richard Hamilton (nine) and Rasheed Wallace, who was whistled for his 10th
technical foul by Malloy in the second quarter. "Dude (Malloy) said I can't
cuss. Dude, I'm 31. I got three kids. I can say what I want. And I wasn't
speaking to him, I was speaking to Chris (Paul), telling him that (an
earlier play was) a block. I used one curse word, but I wasn't even
talking to him (Malloy)."
