By Nick James Our Top 15 3B have some higher-ceiling talents than the 1B group, though there are a handful that could end up at 1B when all is said and done (particularly Boyd and Kreuter). Chris Dominguez could be an interesting player to watch this Spring, particularly if he’s able to square-up on the ball more consistently -- ditto Mendonca. Dominguez also has an argument for the best arm of the group, though Heller edges him out ever so slightly. Davidson is the only 3Ber that we currently project as a top-half of the 1st round talent, but several others (particularly Borchering) have that kind of upside. On to the list: Fall 2008: Top 15 Third Basemen 1. Matt Davidson, Senior, Yucaipa HS (CA) 2. Bobby Borchering, Senior, Bishop Verot HS (FL) 3. Mike Spina, Senior, University of Cincinnati 4.
