2012 Supplemental First Round Picks Update http://t.co/VyQuhrqL 32) J.O. Berrios, RHP, Minnesota Twins: Outstanding so far: 0.70 ERA with 43/4 K/BB in 26 innings, just 10 hits allowed, between Gulf Coast League and Appalachian League. I love this guy. 33) Zach Eflin, RHP, San Diego Padres: Threw seven innings in rookie ball, then went on the disabled list in mid-July. Wait-and-see mode. 34) Daniel Robertson, 3B, Oakland Athletics: Hit .297/.405/.554 in 101 at-bats in Arizona Rookie League, then .267/.313/.433 in 30 at-bats in the New York-Penn League. Needs defensive polish, bat looks promising so far. 35) Kevin Plawecki, C, New York Mets: .252/.356/.371 with 19 walks, 16 strikeouts in 159 at-bats for Brooklyn in the New York-Penn League. Has thrown out 32% of runners. Not great, but showing plate management skills that were present in college. 36) Stephen Piscotty, 3B, St. Louis Cardinals: .279/.373/.435 with 17 walks, 20 strikeouts in 154 at-bats for Low-A Quad Cities in the Midwest League. Rough on defense (14 errors in 41 games) but bat has been solid, making jump from college to full-season ball. 37) Pat Light, RHP, Boston Red Sox: 2.37 ERA with 22/4 K/BB in 19 innings for Lowell in the New York-Penn League, 17 hits. No complaints, throwing strikes, getting Ks. Reports on secondary pitches are promising. 38) Mitch Haniger, OF, Milwaukee Brewers: Hit .286/.379/.429 with seven walks, 13 strikeouts in 49 at-bats for Wisconsin in the Midwest League. Good start to his career, on DL with knee injury. 39) Joey Gallo, 3B, Texas Rangers: .293/.435/.733 with 18 homers, 37 walks, 52 strikeouts in 150 at-bats in Arizona Rookie League, showing enormous power but a very high strikeout rate. 2-for-11 with eight strikeouts in first three games for Spokane in Northwest League. You have to love the power but will he make enough contact? Still an open question. 40) Shane Watson, RHP, Philadelphia Phillies: Five shutout innings in rookie ball so far, two hits, no walks, seven strikeouts. No complaints in a tiny sample. 41) Lance McCullers Jr, RHP, Houston Astros: 19 pro innings between Gulf Coast League and Appy League, 1.42 ERA with 17/7 K/BB so far, 13 hits allowed. Looks good, no real change in scouting reports, has plenty of stuff, just needs experience. 42) Luke Bard, RHP, Minnesota Twins: Seven pro innings thus far between GCL and Appy, 7/7 K/BB, five hits, three runs, seven walks. No change in status: plenty of stuff, needs to show command. 43) Pierce Johnson, RHP, Chicago Cubs: Seven pro innings between Arizona Rookie League and Boise in the Northwest League, has allowed one run on eight hits, one walk, nine strikeouts. Tiny sample but in line with expectations. 44) Travis Jankowski, OF, San Diego Padres: .230/.273/.331 with 10 walks, 35 strikeouts, 11 steals in 178 at-bats for Fort Wayne in the Midwest League. Somewhat disappointing, but jumping from Stony Brook to Low-A. I wouldn't be overly concerned yet. 45) Barrett Barnes, OF, Pittsburgh Pirates: .288/.401/.456 with 17 walks, 21 strikeouts in 125 at-bats for State College in the NY-P, 10 steals. Showing an intriguing power/speed/patience combination, currently on DL. 46) Eddie Butler, RHP, Colorado Rockies: 2.57 ERA, 39/8 K/BB in 49 innings for Grand Junction in the Pioneer League, 45 hits, 2.00 GO/AO. Doing just fine, strikeouts are a bit lower than ideal but getting grounders. 47) Matt Olson, 1B, Oakland Athletics: .295/.356/.534 with 14 walks, 40 strikeouts in 146 at-bats for Arizona Rookie League Athletics. Plenty of power, will have to see about discipline/polish. 48) Keon Barnum, 1B, Chicago White Sox: .279/.347/.512 with five walks, 13 strikeouts in 43 at-bats for Bristol in the Appy League. Tiny sample, but exactly in line with pre-draft scouting reports: lots of power but contact issues. 49) Jesse Winker, OF, Cincinnati Reds: .324/.446/.445 with 36 walks, 41 strikeouts in 173 at-bats for Billings in the Pioneer League. Outstanding plate discipline and good approach, hasn't tapped home run power yet. 50) Matt Smoral, LHP, Toronto Blue Jays: On disabled list, rehabbing spring injury. 51) Jesmuel Valentin, 2B, Los Angeles Dodgers: .213/.340/.339 with 26 walks, 18 strikeouts in 127 at-bats for Arizona League Dodgers, 17 errors in 35 games at shortstop. Good points: BB/K ratio. Bad points: everything else. At age 18, he has plenty of time to turn that around. 52) Patrick Wisdom, 3B, St. Louis Cardinals: .283/.376/.444 with 25 walks, 39 strikeouts in 180 at-bats for Batavia in New York-Penn League. Solid defensive play at third base. Looks good so far. 53) Collin Wiles, RHP, Texas Rangers: 7.71 ERA with 22/11 K/BB in 33 innings in the AZL, 44 hits. Main statistical positive is 2.52 GO/AO. Obviously this is not a guy who should be expected to advance quickly. He wasn't on many radars as a potential early pick. 54) Mitch Gueller, RHP, Philadelphia Phillies: 4.88 ERA with 13/8 K/BB in 24 innings in Gulf Coast League, 22 hits. Shuts down righties (.220) but need weapon against lefties (.300). 55) Walker Weickel, RHP, San Diego Padres: 5.56 ERA with 9/5 K/BB in 11 innings, 13 hits in rookie ball. Small sample (like most of the pitchers), but note 3.83 GO/AO ratio. 56) Paul Blackburn, RHP, Chicago Cubs: 3.29 ERA with 8/4 K/BB in 14 innings, 17 hits in rookie ball. 57) Jeff Gelalich, OF, Cincinnati Reds: .237/.330/.351 with 10 walks, 31 strikeouts in 97 at-bats for Billings in the Pioneer League. It's early, but severe platoon split (.727 OPS vs. right-handers, just .460 against lefties) stands out, plus an advanced college guy should do better than this in the Pioneer League. 58) Mitch Nay, 3B, Toronto Blue Jays: Disabled list, hasn't played. 59) Steve Bean, C, St. Louis Cardinals: Overmatched in Appy League (.125/.263/.213 with 32 strikeouts in 80 at-bats) but better in Gulf Coast League (.310/.420/.380 in 42 at-bats). Has thrown out 38% of runners but also coughed up 11 passed balls in 33 games. 60) Tyler Gonzales, RHP, Toronto Blue Jays: 9.69 ERA with 7/4 K/BB, 19 hits in 13 innings. Hammered early but has pitched well in his last three outings. -- #2 -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 122.117.20.246
