The 100th homer by Teixeira made him just the fifth player in Major League
history to hit 100 or more homers in their first three seasons. Teixeira
hit 26 in 2003, 38 in 2004 and now has 36 this season.
The only other players to have 100 or more homers in their first three
seasons are Ralph Kiner, Albert Pujols, Eddie Matthews and Joe DiMaggio.
