I think we’ve got a lot of things to look forward to for next year, that’s for darn sure." -- Roy Oswalt makes quick exit from clubhouse after Rangers' season-ending loss With a number of free agent decisions looming for the Rangers, one pitcher who certainly won't be back is free agent-to-be Roy Oswalt. During the little more than an hour that the media were allowed in the clubhouse late Saturday morning after the team's 5-1 loss to the Baltimore Orioles, only a handful of players came in to clean out their locker stalls. A handful of stalls already had been cleared, notably that of Oswalt, who signed a one-year, $5 million deal in May but became displeased after being moved to the bullpen. -- Alexi Ogando wants to start, but Rangers aren't sure of future role Asked Saturday how he would like to be used next season, Ogando said through an interpreter: “My wish would be a starter, but [the Rangers] have not mentioned that at all. I'm going to the off-season and get ready to pitch. Whatever they decide, they decide.” Pitching coach Mike Maddux said the front office and coaching staff will probably meet soon to decide “which fork in the road we're going to take” on Ogando, as well as other pitchers. -- Familiar ending for Rangers' Joe Nathan: 'This one stings a little more' Texas Rangers closer Joe Nathan was on the losing end of a winner-take-all game for the second time in three career chances on Friday night. Nathan was with Minnesota when the Twins lost a one-game playoff for the American League Central title in 2008 and beat Detroit in the same situation in 2009. Those were considered to be game No. 163 of the regular season. The loss to Baltimore is considered a playoff game and puts Nathan at 0-5 in post-season series. Minnesota lost all four division series, winning only once in 13 games, while Nathan was with the club. “This one definitely is the hardest,” Nathan said on Saturday. “We fully expected to at least have a five-game (division) series. This one stings a little more. “It’s going to take longer to bounce back from. … If anything, it’ll just fuel the fire a little bit to get back after it I’m sure I’ll be going nuts after two weeks of doing nothing. This will definitely throw some more logs on the flame and allow me to get back to what I like to be doing: hitting the weight room and getting my conditioning in.” -- 小結： 1.
