An InsideHoops.com source located north of the border says that Kevin O'Neill is set to become the next head coach of the Toronto Raptors. This has been rumored for quite some time, but it appears that an announcement can be expected soon. O’Neill was an assistant under Rick Carlisle, and will be hired not only for his gleaming reputation as a great coach, but because of his knack for teaching and implementing defense schemes. The Raptors leadership was tired of re-tread coaches and wanted to not only get a fresh perspective, but were conscious of the expenses a big name would have cost them.
