Statistically speaking:
With 208 K's in 2010, Moore became the first pitcher since 2005 to top
the 200-strikeout plateau. He also led the Minor Leagues in strikeouts
for the second consecutive season, with a 12.9 K/9 rate over those two
years combined. It's been at least 20 years (researching back to 1990)
since anyone has pulled that double feat.
Scouting report:
The fastball is obviously a plus, up to the mid-90s, with excellent movement.
Both his curve and changeup have the chance to be above-average to plus
pitches, though the changeup is a bit behind the others because he hasn't
used it much. His command improved over the course of the season,
but there's still room for improvement.
Upside potential:
With three potentially plus pitches, Moore has frontline starter potential.
They said it: "He has good stuff -- a plus fastball, a plus curveball, and he
has a deception in his delivery. That's where he gets these strikeouts." --

He said it: "I think I'm progressing with every level I'm at. I think I've
been where I've needed to be the last two or three years, and hopefully I can
progress in that same way until there's nowhere to go but the big leagues."
