Here is my take on the picks after the 4th round (until the 20th). Overall the Rays did a good job of getting sume potential high upside players. I would have loved them to select more raw prep pitching talent. 作者認為球團選進許多具有高發展性球員這點很棒，但具有才能的投手應該多選幾個。 Picks I like: Ryan Carpenter - LHP 7th; While his stuff diminished, he showed best results of his life as of lately; If he gets some velo back he can become #3 starter 潛力逐漸衰退，若能找回以往球速能成為3號先發。 Jacob Faria - RHP 10th; Projectable prep pitcher; 2nd Fullerton commit next to J.D. Davis 球探報告板上已有，原作者並無說出喜歡的原因。 Trevor Mitsui - 1B 12th; Only guy since 7th-rounder Carpenter I've read about before the draft. Great hit tool. 具有優質的打擊工具。 Tanner English - OF 13th; Speedy CF with excellent bat speed. I like this out of a 19th/20th round pick Picks I am okay with: J.D. Davis - 3B 5th; power potential there, enough bat speed? 具有長打潛力但揮棒速度是否足夠？ John Alexander - 1B 8th; Huge guy; The power bat the Rays needed? 體型龐大，其長打能力是球團所需要的嗎？ Matt Rice - C 9th; The major league talent might not be there but he may bring other things to the organization: Leadership, intelligence, makeup 其能力也許無法上MLB但也許但也許能帶給球團其他東西：領導能力、智慧、態度 Tyler Parmenter - SS 15th; Very, very raw but potential in the field and on the mound 潛力在防守部份。 Tyler Motter - SS 17th; Tyler Bortnick comparisons everywhere. Same school, stats are pretty similar, tools also Andy Bass - RHP 18th; The 18th round is the range for college relievers.
