Chapman is expected to be officially optioned to the minors on Thursday, SI's Jon Heyman reports.
Recommendation: He'll almost certainly make his big league debut later on this season -- perhaps by June -- but it will be interesting to see if he can accelerate his own timetable with a dominant run through the minors out of the gates.
