For all the intrigue over Ryan Spilborghs' batter-clip, shortstop Troy
Tulowitzki topped it. He joined the Yankees' Nick Johnson and Florida's
Cameron Maybin as one of the three major-league hitters walking to the plate
to Miley Cyrus' "Party in the U.S.A." No, Tulowitzki didn't lose a bet.
"We have a lot of kids and young girls who come to our games that love the
song. And I am doing better in April than I usually do, so why change it?"
said Tulowitzki, who said he has received positive feedback for the choice
from Todd Helton's and Brad Hawpe's daughters.
Asked if he's ribbing Tulowitzki, catcher Chris Iannetta said, "Why? If he
hadn't picked it, I would have."
