雖然沒看完這場,不過覺得蘇格蘭打得比上一場好,真的越來越進步。加油吧。 貼一下報導。 Saturday, 19 June, 2004, 11:52 GMT 12:52 UK Australia 34-13 Scotland MATCH DETAILS Australia: 34 Tries: Sailor, Tuqiri (2), Turinui, Roff Cons: Roff (3) Pens: Roff Scotland: 13 Tries: Custier Cons: Parks Pens: Parks Australia clinched a 2-0 series win against Scotland with a comfortable victory in Sydney on Saturday. The hosts led 17-10 at the break and they pulled away in the second half as their greater cutting edge took its toll on the Scots. Lote Tuqiri scored twice for the hosts, whose other scores came from Wendell Sailor, Morgan Turinui and Joe Roff. Scrum-half Chris Cusiter grabbed Scotland's solitary try, with Dan Parks kicking the rest of their points. Scotland were first on the scoreboard through a Parks penalty after three minutes despite Australia dominating the early stages. The hosts levelled the scores with a Roff penalty with 10 minutes on the clock but it was to be another quarter of an hour before they scored the first try of the match. Scotland were given the put-in at a defensive scrum but Australia produced a mighty shove and drove them off the ball. When they moved it to the backs Stephen Larkham ghosted through a gap and fed Sailor, who crossed under the posts. Four minutes later they stretched their lead as Tuqiri crossed out wide after Radike Samo had blasted his way through the Scottish defence. Roff converted both tries to give Australia a 17-3 lead but Scotland refused to lie down and they picked up the pace of their game. They looked to have got their reward when Andrew Henderson went over but they were called back for a five-metre scrum because referee Mark Lawrence had obstructed George Gregan. However, they did not have long to wait for the try as scrum-half Cusiter fought his way over after Henderson had taken a crash ball up the middle. Parks converted to cut the gap to seven points but Australia stretched their lead again five minutes into the second half when Tuqiri went over for his second try after Turinui cut back against the grain from a lineout. Parks trimmed the gap to nine points with a second penalty but despite looking below their best Australia were comfortably in command of the game. They stretched well clear when Turinui powered through two feeble tackles to score under the posts with Roff again converting. Scotland tried to finish with a flourish and nearly scored when Tom Smith knocked on just short of the line. But the final word went to the Wallabies, with Roff scoring their fifth try right on the final whistle. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Australia: Roff, Sailor, Mortlock, Turinui, Tuqiri, Larkham, Gregan, Young, Cannon, Baxter, Harrison, Sharpe, Samo, Waugh, Lyons.
