Preview: Australia v NZ
Telstra Stadium, Sydney
Saturday 7 August
Kick-off: 1100 BST
New Zealand return to the scene of their World Cup semi-final disaster
on Saturday as they aim to wrap up the Tri-Nations title against Australia.
The All Blacks were cast aside 22-10 by the Wallabies in Sydney in
November and face another tough test this weekend.
Aussie captain George Gregan is set to equal David Campese's record of
101 caps for his country.
The All Blacks have made three changes up front, with Jono Gibbes,
Ali Williams and Carl Hayman all starting.
The Wallabies may have already lost the Bledisloe Cup, but they could
yet claim the 2004 title if they win with a bonus point.
An impressive South African side were defeated 30-26 last weekend and
New Zealand coach Graham Henry admitted that Australia would be out to
avenge the 16-7 defeat in Wellington.
"Psychologically, (the Wellington defeat) is important, it will certainly
put some edge on the Australians," he said.
"They were embarrassed in the forward pack and that will put extra steel
and that was shown last week in Perth , so I think it's more to Australia's
advantage."
Australia have made just one change to their side, with hooker Brendan
Cannon returning, following a one-match ban for punching.
Wallaby coach Eddie Jones said: "We were gutted by the lack of possession
we got in Wellington.
"You can't expect to win Test matches with that little amount of possession
and the possession we had we didn't use well.
"To compete and get our 50% possession against New Zealand we're going to
have to be technically and tactically really good in the scrum and the lineout and put pressure on their ball."
